Default NM Proph Build

So, i've been reading a lot about people using CoP lyssa, and CoP AP builds, but it seems that things just die WAY to fast for that to be effective right now. I was wondering what a good build was to take with me through prophecies. I went out and got the skills necessary for CoP, but it just isnt fun with everything dieing, i also run out of energy pretty quick since i do not have AP. Any ideas?

Just about every good Mesmer build for PvE uses [[Cry of Pain], you won't find one that doesn't. And it's pretty hard to run out of energy with [[Lyssa's Aura]. Maybe use a [[glyph of lesser energy] with it too if you're really having trouble keeping energy up?

So you want a build that takes longer to kill? That's kinda the opposite that most people want. If that's the case then just throw any crap skills on your bar and give that a try.

I suggest going core or close to core only to add a little fun to Prophesies (pve skills take alot of the old fashion fun out of the game)

[empathy] [cry of frustration] [backfire] [power drain] or [auspicious incantation] [wastrel's worry] [ether feast] [Elite of choice] [resurrection signet]

Old school don’t even need an elite TBH [leech signet] could replace it or [signet of disruption]

Good luck to you

I don't use CoP very much at all. In fact, I find it boring and less effective than other options unless it is part of a team using it together. I also find most people use DOmination in PvE, and I prefer Illusion myself. Unfortunately, most people think degen when they think Illusion. However, I like skills that make my team more effective and the enemy less effective. Consider skills like [arcane conundrum], [clumsiness], [imagined burden], [fragility], and those are not even elites.

For your energy problems, make sure you are using the Inspiration line effectively. Skills are plentiful in Inspiration to manage your energy, and most fit well into any PvE build. Things like [power drain], [channeling], [inspired enchantment], [inspired hex], and again, those are not even any elites.
